It happens, especially when you graduate from high school completely unsure of what you should do and you don't have an a**load of money. I've matured a lot since high school - hopefully that will show.

Why Wesleyan University? I haven't heard or researched much about this school. You seems to like WUSTL, how come it is not your first choice? Oh by the way, when will you hear from them?

With WashU, I just don't feel like I've got a firm grasp of what the school is about. I fear that may have shown in my essays, but I tried to mask it. If I'm accepted and visit I may grow to love it. On the other hand, Wesleyan's reputation (not just academic, but social) is well known and I can imagine myself there. In this sense, Wes is my #1 choice.

But anyways, I should hear from WashU by the end of February. Thx lostincode - that's nice to hear.

I am not applying to Brown because I realized how difficult and time-consuming it is to apply to 8 universities; I narrowed my list and had to choose between two schools that offer a similar experience. In the end I opted for Wesleyan. Good luck to everyone applying to Brown though (but bad luck to those of you competing with me for Wes!) :D
