Chances for transfer student?

I'd like to apply to McGill for my junior year (financial limitations have landed me in CUNY Hunter up until now, but McGill is my dream..)

I'm applying to the Faculty of Arts, what are my chances of getting in?

GPA: 4.0 GPA (college, that's with several 200-300 level classes)
3.43 (high school)

SAT: 610 math, 740 writing, 710 reading.

Rankings: no class rank available for college, but I'm on the Dean's list, and in high school I was 26/112.

APS: 5 Lang & Comp, 5 Art History, 4 US History.

Also, do you think they might be looking more at my college record or high school?

Thanks! :)

I’d say your chances are pretty good, but cannot give you a definite answer, as there is no bench mark for transfer students, its varies from year to year. It depends on how many accept their admissions and how many people apply for transfers as transfer students are only expected to fill in empty spaces. It is always VERY competitive for transfer students, the acceptance rate is about 29% .A few years back it was EXTREMELY competitive for transfer students my friend who applied to transfer from another Canadian university had a GPA of 4.14 but was refused admission because it was too competitive and space was too limited which seems insane! That’s just the way it is.
