Chances for U of Minnesota-Twin Cities

<p>Hey there whoever is looking at this thread! I just wanted to know if you could give me some insight on my chances to U of Minnesota-Twin Cities :)</p>

<p>Fun(maybe not)/Quick(I type alot so maybe not!) Facts about me! :P
-ACT: 29(plan to take again in a few weeks)
-GPA: 93.66(my HS uses percentages)
-Rank: we don't rank, but my HS counselor said if we did, I would be placed in the top 50% (darn)
- numerous college/AP/honors courses- we don't get letter grades but percentages, all of them are in the 90-100% range. AP tests: 3-5s
-Vietnamese
-played basketball all four years(JEREMY LIN lol, and I know the season hasn't started yet, but I would hope that I would make the team again after playing for varsity my sophomore & junior year lol)
- volunteering at shelters, hospitals, and school events which equates to 400+ hours
-planned/interested major(s): psychology, sociology, architecture(there are some others, but those are the major ones). </p>

<p>You will never know until you apply. Minnesota was one of the easiest applications that my daughter had to fill out. She didn’t need letters of recommendation, and she didn’t have to write any essays. I am surprised that with a 93.66 GPA that you would only be in the top 50%. You must go to a very competitive high school. I am not familiar with that type of GPA, but if it is an “A” average, I would think you would be much higher than the top 50% of your class. I think it also bodes well for you that you received A’s in honors/AP/college classes. Your AP scores seem very good as well. I would apply as early as you can. Good luck!</p>
