Basically, I feel like my stats are strong but I don't have any "big" accomplishments to set me apart.

Chances?

You’re getting into IU, Purdue and UCSD. All very good.

I think you’re a high match or low reach at Rice: your measurables are well above their averages, but they admit a lot of athletes and the admit % is not high to begin with.

You are (and nearly everyone else is also…) a reach or low reach for Stanford, Chicago and Duke: top-10 schools with admit percentages under 10%.

Thanks prezbucky. Any other responses?

Can you afford these schools?

^Depends on the financial aid. Hence, why I am looking at the UCSD Jacobs Scholarship as well as Wells for IU and Presidential for Purdue. For the elite ones, it all depends what aid package they give me.

You have a good chance to get the Presidential Scholarship at Purdue. My D has very similar stat and she got it although she is not going to attend.

^Where did she end up going, out of curiosity?

UCSD scholarships are very difficult to get, especially if you are from OOS, and, no scholarship will cover the OOS non California resident supplemental tuition of $23,000 per year. $53k per year. https://students.ucsd.edu/finances/financial-aid/budgeting/undergrad-2014-15.html

The UC’s are funded by California taxpayers, so preference is given to the children of taxpayers in admissions decisions. Out of state students are typically full pay, since California has thousands of students with high stats, who wish to attend. You’ll probably be admitted, but at full fees, since California is out of money.
