I'm hoping to be able to get into either UCI or UCD, and, with admissions coming in soon, I'm pretty nervous as to what my chances are.

So my grades are pretty suckish:
unweighted goes as follows:
Sophomore year: 2.83/1.83 (3 Ds, horrible grades. though it's validated through SAT scores)
Junior year: 3.0/3.14
Senior year: 3.5/ n/a

weighted is a bit better:
Sophomore year: 3.17/2.0
junior year: 3.42/3.57
Senior year: 4.0/ n/a

my SAT scores are far more decent:
2230 SAT I
760 CHEM
740 MATH II
700 World History

I also mentioned I was vice president of the school's Speech and Debate club in my freshman year, that I passed level 9 Certificate of Merit for Piano, and was first chair clarinetist for my 2 years in the school orchestra.

Overall, I doubt I make a very strong case, but I'm hopeful since I've heard that UCI and UCD's acceptance GPA and SAT scores are inflated by those wanting to have the two schools as safety schools.

Apparently, my UC GPA is a 3.18 something (blasted "only 8 honors courses" limitation), so I'm very worried. UCI will not see my senior year GPA; it only knows I'm taking 3 AP classes. I've updated my grades through UCD's system, though.

So... any chance of this stupid kid getting into the school he wants, or am I stuck as a future Highlander (UCR)?
