I'm a California Community College transfer student.

GPA: 4.00

Major: Political Science.

IGETC: will be completed before actual transfer.

Prerequisites: Did all but one my community college offered.

Extra Curricular: The only thing I have is that I volunteer at a nursing home once a week for two hours and play music for the residents there. :-(

So do you think I have a decent chance?

I know my GPA is good enough for UCLA, but do they really focus on EC's for transfer students?

Since you are 4.0, they will only look at ECs if you are applying for engineering or something like Political Science or neurology. As a general transfer student (math, english, history, psychology) you are definitely in, even without a single EC.

Since you are a poli sci applicant, you should try to get one more activity on your application besides what you have now. But even without it, you should be okay with just the one.

Good luck.
