Still a low match.

By low match you mean my stats are too low and it doesn’t match me well?

Acceptance rate is 70% for people around 1900 SAT and 3.8 GPA, since you have a 2150 , that should pout you for at least 85% getting in, Hence, low Match. You can probably get in but you never know, since they can reject a 2400 but accept a 1600. I’d say about 80/100 chance of getting in UIUC

I think people on this forum are selling UIUCs difficulty short, especially for Engineering. I would say you’re a match at best. Possibly a low reach. Your Weighted GPA of 3.8 is very low for UIUC Engineering. Your SAT is solid, but not spectacular.

For UIUC LSA admission, you’d be golden. Engineering is a whole different story, though. Of the many students I know attending UIUC Engineering, the average GPA is more around a 4.2, with a similar SAT. My brother attends UIUC, and about 30 people from my school go there every year.

My gpa has an upward trend tho. My freshman year grades were just really bad. I got a 4.0 and 4.2 respectively sophomore and junior year. But thank you for giving me an honest and thorough answer!

And the average SAT at UIUC ranges from 1360 to 1480. Being In the CoE for me they would place more emphasis on the math section. I got a 760 on it… cant do much better than that since i only got 1 wrong… so I think I should be ok in the SAT department. It was mostly freshman year grades that worried me
