<p>Ok so I want to know what my chances are to eat into this college</p>

<p>Major: Engineering</p>

<p>Academics:</p>

<p>Gpa: 4.11
SAT1: 2150
SAT2 math II: 740
SAT2 physics: 740</p>

<p>Awards:
Student of excellence award
Honor role: 2 years in a row (sophomore junior)</p>

<p>ECs:
100 hours of volunteer work at the library
100 hours of chemistry peer tutoring (took tutoring as a class)
Internship for non profit org
Did a week long cosmology workshop at UC Berkeley/ LBNL</p>

<p>Leadership:
French honors society clubs treasurer
Club founder (for 4 different schools) and president for charity organization that I intern for</p>

<p>Honors/ APs: junior year----
Ap English : B in the class (4 on exam)
Physics honors : A in class</p>

<p>Senior year schedule (current)
Econ/ AP US gov
Honors French 4
Sheakspeare
Digital photo
AP environmental science
AP calculus</p>

<p>oh i actually made a mistake</p>

<p>my overal weighted is a 3.79 but it is very obvious in my academic record that i made a huge jump</p>

<p>freshman gps: 3.2, 3.4
soph: 4.0
junior: 4.2</p>

<p>do freshman grades typically make a big impact?
i applied priority and my results come in 3 weeks im freaking out</p>

<p>I would recommend taking the ACT since UIUC is in the midwest.</p>

<p>Regardless, I personally know many people that got accepted into UIUC with far less impressive gpa and course rigor than yourself, I’d call UIUC a low match for you.</p>

<p>I’d say you have a great shot- nice SATs and although your GPA isn’t amazing it does the job :P</p>

I feel like they look at my grades more because my weighted gpa is bad but my grades in the past few years are really good!</p>

<p>They will look favorably towards the upward trend, and your SAT score is pretty darn good for UIUC. Overall, you have a great chance since you also started four clubs which shows you take initiative.</p>

<p>Update: got 760 on November SAT math and 680. (From 710 math and 700 reading) math is more important for eng tho! Chance me now??</p>
