Pull the CS up, EC’s not enough, but the touring 7 countries is AWESOME!!! that exhibits the depth, not breadth thing … um yes scores are good. Maybe UPenn, UChicago and Cornell. But others? I think there are waaaaay better students. BUT YOU NEVER KNOW! A stellar essay and good reco’s might just get you in. Maybe Stanford and Princeton. Well have fun. Try some places like John Hopkins and CalTech. CalTech likes students who study a lot.

Well, they are all reaches of course, except maybe UChicago. The thing is, to he honest, you don’t stand out whatsoever. Do you know how many people play tennis, are on the debate team, and dance? A lot. But the thing is, those are the ONLY things you do, so I think you should really, if you have time left, do something(s) extraordinary to make your application stand out. I even founded the debate team for my school and people are still telling me I have ordinary EC’s. Why don’t you do an internship, start a successful club, create a charity, or SOMETHING! I am rooting for you, but honestly I hope those are not the only schools you applied to.

As for your academics, their good, maybe not your GPA is not really good enough for Yale, Princeton, and Harvard, but it’s like average for the others. The SAT score is great, but I’m not sure it makes up for your EC’s

IMO this feedback is overly negative. Great shot at Cornell, good shot at UChicago with good essays, HYPS will be tough since nothing really jumps out (but really it’s a crapshoot for everyone at these schools). Penn maybe if youre applying for CAS.
