Chances for USC Annenberg

I am going to be a senior next year, and I was wondering what would be my chances for being admitted into USC annenberg.

I have an unweighted GPA of 4.0 and weighted 4.07
I got a 4.0 freshman and sophomore year and 4.33 Junior Year (I took the only two available AP Classes-English/APUSH)

I have not yet taken the SAT 1 but my PSAT scores indicate scoring in the upper 1700s (I think 1760 was my best, ouch!) I recently received my SAT 2 scores of 750 in US history and 630 in Literature (which I know is not stellar).

I have been on the staff for my school newspaper, served in two leadership positions, have written for some online publications, and would like to study journalism. I am planning on having my essays be really strong, as I excel in essay writing.

Does USC seem a viable option, even considering my Practice PSAT scores?

Thank you! :)

Nice GPA! To the best of my knowledge (which isn’t very much), your SAT scores are significantly lower than the average for USC Annenberg, but your interest in journalism and essay writing is definitely a strong advantage when applying there. I would say it’s a mid-reach, but with a higher SAT score, I would say you’re solid. One suggestion I have is to try the ACT. Some people do significantly better on it than the SAT, and vice versa. It can’t really hurt.
Also, can you chance me back?
