If you were an in state student, I would say that your chances were excellent. As an out of state student, they are still pretty good, but less than they would be as an in state student.

I suspect that we will see the average SAT scores rise a good bit this year after the announcement that the Honors College was ranked #1. I would think that there will be tons of students applying who are great students (2 part SAT between 1200-1450) but not quite up to Ivy League standards.

By the way, your SAT score is exactly what mine was, of course since I am a USC parent and not a current student I took mine 30 years ago.

SC has a 70% acceptance rate, and since your SATs are solidly in the 25-75 percentile range, and your GPA corresponds to a 3.5 or so (and maybe higher if your average is unweighted) I’d say your chances look pretty decent.
