Chances for UVa, Duke, villanova, and a few others

<p>If anyone could give me a realistic appraisal of my chances to get into the following schools, that would be great!</p>

<p>UVa (EA)
Villanova (EA)
Boston College (EA)
Duke (Top Choice)
Richmond
William and Mary (Have had family who went here)</p>

<p>Class Rank
11th/650</p>

<p>SAT: 2140 (760 Math, 710 Reading, 670 Writing)
SAT 2s:
Math 1 740
Math 2 780
Lit 600
ACT: 33 (I think I got a 33 in all sections except writing, which I got a 32 in)</p>

<p>Grades: All A- to A+s, except for one B+ in AP Physics
GPA: 4.57 Weighted, no idea unweighted
Courses: AP whenever offered, Honors when not in all 4 core subjects. Only 2 years of Foreign Language. I dropped it to take another calculus course, and joined my HS's German Club to try and compensate for this.</p>

<p>Activities:
Band - Instrument Quartermaster (My HS's band is very good, 300ish memebrs and we are playing in the Rose Parade this year)
Math Team - Vice President
Mock Trial - Captain
German Club
Mini Thon (Organization that raises money to help combat pediatric cancer. It's associated with the Four Diamonds Fund and Penn State)
National Honors Society</p>

<p>150ish hours of community service, earned at: Elementary school, retirement homes, Middle School, Town Fair</p>

<p>For the most part, my essays were pretty good, IMO. Not Shakespeare, obviously, but certainly above average. </p>

<p>I’m guessing you are a Virginia resident? If so, I think you’ll be fine at the three VA schools- UVA, W&M and Univ of Richmond. I would think you’ll have a “yes” from UVA EA. Good luck- my D is a first year student at UVA and just loves it (well, not so much this week during finals, but in general!).</p>

<p>Duke is the best school on the list and hardest to get into. Might also look at Holy Cross-top25 LAC with good combination of academics and athletics. Imo, Holy Cross has better academics than BC and Nova. HC is also need-blind for admissions(meets 100% demonstrated financial aid).</p>

<p>Sorry, I was unclear. While Duke is my top choice, I applied regular decision there, since they only offer a binding ED</p>

<p>Just as an update, got into BC and Villanova honors. Been deferred from UVA. </p>
