Getting into William & Mary or UVA is not unheard of. A kid with a 3.5 GPA and a decent SAT score got into William & Mary and I know another kid with a 3.0 who got into UVA because he got 5’s on all his AP exams. Yes, your GPA is a 3.7 which is pretty good but not average for UVA/William&Mary students but ALL of your classes ever since 9th grade have been either Honors or APs.

I can’t say exactly what schools you’ll get into because I’m guessing you haven’t taken the SAT, yet. I’ll list what I think you’d need for each school, in terms of SAT score.

UVA - In (2000/2100 would be safe)
Johns Hopkins - Mid reach (2100)
Duke - Reach (2200 is their average, so maybe you can stretch into the 2300’s to make up for any B’s you’ve gotten in the past)
William and Mary - In (2000)
UChicago - Unsure. (2000/2100)
Georgetown SFS - In (1900-2100)

Since you’re applying in-state, you probably know a lot about the schools I’m applying to then. Chance me back!
