Chances at:
Wellesley ED
Middlebury
Pomona
Reed
Smith
Swarthmore

I’d say u are an EXCELLENT candidate for ED Wellesley. I honestly think you’ll get in. I don’t know enough about LAC colleges though :(. Im sorry…

I think everything looks good, ranking is great, gpa is great, but try to get the sats over 2100( I think its almost like a psychological thing with colleges if your sats are over 2100). So:
Wellesley ED - probably in
Middlebury - match, my friend got in with similar stats (95 gpa, 2040 sats)
Pomona - reach
reed -safety
Smith - in
Swarthmore - high match.

You have really great extracurricular activities and a great rank too. If you retake SATs you’re fine, and maybe SAT IIs with Bio if you think you’ll do better. Overall, looks really good, especially for Wellesley.

Wellesley ED - Looks really good
Middlebury - High match/low reach
Pomona - Reach
Reed - Match
Smith - Definitely in
Swarthmore - High match/low reach

i say your stats are solid, your ECs are very much like mine, i also love theatre and I think it is a great place to expand upon on your essays. you know how much work goes into learning dances, learning the songs, memorizing lines, etc… so elaborate on that. for all your schools, i say your stats will make you quite competative,

Wellesley ED- b/c of ED ups your already strong chances- high match
Middlebury-in
Pomona-reach
Reed-in
Smith-rock the essay
Swarthmore-rock the essay

I definitely think you’re a match for all those colleges. i recommend raising your SAT.
700’s look really nice for colleges. great gpa, rank, ec.

Just a bit of caution here: Reed considers interview to be important, essays to be very important, and fit to be paramount, making the school, I think, a safety for no one. Even earning a perfect score on the SAT is no guarantee of admission.

Thank you, vossron. I was really surprised by the responses I got for Reed, too. Maybe since it’s not on the USNWR rankings not many know much about the college.

I think you have really good chances, certainly a strong contender.

Wellesley ED- good chances, maybe high match?
Middlebury-reach (maybe lower reach, but still hard for anyone to get in)
Pomona-reach
Smith-match
Reed-match
Swarthmore-high match/low reach

I would assume you would get into at least several of these schools, but none of them are true “safeties” for anyone. Nevertheless, I think you have wonderful chances and are a very well qualified candidate! Good Luck. :)

I don’t know too much about LACs, but it looks like you’d be a competitive student pretty much anywhere. Even with your SAT scores as they are right now. Good luck!

Thanks for the chance. Great rank and gpa, ok sats.

Wellesley - you’re probably in (but why would you want to go to an all girls school?)
Middlebury - high match
pomona - reach
reed - safety
smith - match
swathmore- low reach.

Im not to familiar with these schools but I think that you can definitely raise your SAT math and writing. The more problems you do the better. Your grades and rank are excellent and your ECs seem solid.

Wellesley ED - low match
Middlebury - match
Pomona - low reach
Reed - idk
Smith - in
Swarthmore - high match

The only thing on your app that hurts you is your SAT scores, get your SATs up to a 2100 and I’d say you’ll get in to pretty much all of those except Pomona (which is still very much in your reach)

Oh, and just curious, why do you want to go to an all girl’s school? I’m a guy and would never in a billion years think of going to an all guy’s college…I would need some exposure to the opposite sex even if I wasn’t dating.

I actually think going to a women’s college will help me. I’ll be pushed to get outside the bubble of the college and get involved in the real world. I can always find male company at nearby schools like MIT, Harvard, Babson, Olin, etc. so it’s not like I’ll be totally stranded.

I said I’d chance you so Ill try, but Im not too familiar with most of the schools you listed. You have pretty good scores and are involved, which is enough to at least put your foot in the door at any school. A lot of it comes down to whether or not you pull scores up and how good your essay and recommendations are. I’d say as long as those are as good as everythin you’ve listed you have a pretty good shot. Good luck
