hi i'm a rising senior from ny and i was wondering if i have a chance.

4.5w gpa (on a 5.0 scale)
Sats: (this is my low point) writing 710, cr 680 math 590 :(
Sat II's: 720 us history, 680 bio , math 1c 590 (continues to screw me over)
5 on ap euro exam, expecting 4 or 5s on american exam and lit exam

-taking the hardest course load possible all years, and go to a very competitive public school
- i have several community service activities, decent extracurriculars, a few leadership positions, staff member and writer for a lit mag, camp counselor this summer
-taking two languages

**I'm looking to major in something writing related. Does my sat score ruin my chances?

Is there any way you can work on your math score and retake it, either for the SAT I or II (a good score on either will make the other one seem less significant)? Maybe take a class, get someone to help you or something? If you ever have any questions about any SAT math questions feel free to contact me... mad4u689.

You definitely hvae a chance, and an outstanding essay will help put you over the edge, especially if you're really into writing. Good luck!!

thanks so much....i really appreciate your encouragement....i was actually thinking of taking the act but idk. Is the math supposed to be easier? It's nice to finally have someone nice comment on your stats instead of telling you that u need to be like all of the other geniuses on this site lol. Well thanks again.
