I'm going to apply early decision next year. I'd appreciate your consulting.
-White Male, from the greatest country on earth (USA!!), Michigan

-Recommendations are prime, one from a teacher who has created teaching methods that they now use at none other than Wharton.
-DECA 2x District Champion and State Finalist. Likely a state champ in 2 weeks.
-Heavy volunteering as special needs recreation organizer and coach for youth hockey, tennis, and basketball. Did these throughout high school, 5 hours a week throughout the year including summer.

-NHS, Spanish NHS
-Jobs: Sports broadcaster for my school's basketball and baseball team, lifeguard 1 summer, and will be on the maintenance crew at a rural school in the summer near my summer home.
-School announcements producer and director, won awards for produced broadcasts throughout high school.
-Great grandfather is Wharton Class of 1914. I will write my essay about the magical moment when we went to the gradstacks at Penn and found his section in the 1914 yearbook. I've been told this is as good as a legacy.
Thanks for your help!

And I’m applying to the Leadership in the Business world summer program at Penn, hopefully I get in, it would be something to add

You have awesome stats. Couple that with stellar essays, and I think you have a pretty good shot!

I’m not thrilled about the essay on your great granddad. What does that say about you? I really don’t know.

Good stats though.

that’s probably because you aren’t the one reading it, nor are you the one writing it.

I didn’t say it in a nice way so I get what’s fair. What I should have conveyed is the need to make sure you are selling yourself by helping the Adcom get to know you through your essay and to caution you to make sure that comes through regardless of what you write about.

Sorry if I came across with an attitude. I think you have good stats so its all up to the essays to carry you over the hump. That’s what I sloppily tried to communicate.

Actually, USA is 4th greatest country on the Earth.

lemonby, you have a great chance, but you can never know. Just believe you will get in.

@ivydreamerr comments like that are why everyone hates Piers Morgan

Which countries are 1-3?

Russia, Canada and China have greater area, while China and India are more populous than the USA. On the other hand, the USA is still first in the terms of GDP.

lemonboy - no offense, man. You said the same in your another thread. A person going to the UPenn, Wharton particularly, should know the truth, that’s all.
