-I also won 2nd place at the World's Fastest Drummer Contest at the NAMM show in Austin, Texas last summer.
-During the summers of 2004/2005, I toured with the Memphis Sound Drum and Bugle Corps, each year becoming a DCI Division 2/3 finalist.

I also have a brother who's a junior at Yale.
I realize the ACT science score is very low.. that test was from December of 2005. I didn't exactly plan my class schedule around the need to take 3 SAT II subject tests, so that didn't work out too well either. Those scores were MUCH lower than they should have been, and I'm hoping the AP scores will compensate for them somewhat.

The main weakness in my application lies in that many of my skills have improved immeasurably since I've taken the tests (as in the case of the SAT II Literature test). However, one of my recs is from my English teacher and I'm sure she had some great things to say, and my essays weren't too bad, either.

I welcome all opinions, good or bad! Thank you!

i think you have a great chance. you have a lot of things going for you.

ditto .

dude, with your status as a really URM and your talents as a musician I'd be shocked if you didn't get accepted.

Don't you need to take 3 Subject Tests? I might be wrong about that, but you might want to check that out...

Yes you need 3 for Yale...

As far as I knew the options were to submit an ACT score or an SAT with 3 subject tests, with both of course not being frowned upon. I do know some people who didn't take any subject tests and were still accepted, but maybe times have changed? Thanks for the input!

that card your carrying just might get you in

bump =) (will the 2 subject tests hurt me?)

I think it's REQUIRED 3?..

As long as ACT in place of SAT II's, ur in. URM + those stats, no problem

basically, the indian card thing means your stats could be way below and they'd accept you just for that peice of plastic- just an opinion, but they seriously want any underrepresented minority, especially one so uncommon

he's right. thats a very urm minority with exceptional stats and good ec's. enjoy yale next year lol
