Now were these courses taken online, or on the campuses?

this sounds like you’ve got some pretty amazing stats and activities. i think if you really have strong essays, you’ll have a shot at any of the ivys, especially yale due to the classes you’ve taken

What kind of school gives a 3.0 weight to advanced classes?

Also, what journals are you alluding to?

@purephysics

Duke Uni: online through a program they offer
Yale Uni: my school helped arrange for someone in the physics department (at yale) to teach me those courses with actual grades, tests, and such that other students would receive. the cool part is that it is one on one because no one else has signed up yet (it’s a pretty new thing). I DO NOT KNOW whether i am held to the same standards as yale students and WILL NOT receive any college credit for these courses.
Quinnipiac Uni: courses were offered for free! these courses were on campus in classes with actual students.

The publications are in Journal of Cell Biology and Cilia (the first is a descriptive paper and the second includes biochemsitry)

I’m having trouble figuring out what to do for essays. I’m a poor writer and I don’t have any life struggles per se. What can I do to improve my writing?

@cosmological

i dont understand your question. my school has a system with honors, average, below average, and way below average. any AP classes and college courses count as average (i hate this part). the weighted GPA is out of 7 and the unweighted is out of 4. i had an A- freshman year so i dont have a 4.0

thank you very much!

one question though, is my SAT score holding me back? i only have a 2150 for ivies now which is low in their standards

yeah I’d say you have a nice chance. Make sure to stay positive! I wish you the best of luck!

thank you very much!

i’m still wondering whether my SAT score is holding me back though

You’re qualified.
