ok, so all my scores are in and i'm even more worried about getting into georgetown rd than before. what do you guys think (i know admissions there is totally unpredictable, but i'd like a straight answer.)

so what do you think? do i have a snowball's chance in hell?

um...maybe? i really don't know. i know this isnt a straight answer, but it seems like you have a ok chance/little reach. if you can get a portfolio together of your artwork, that would be helpful.

You have a chance for sure.

I got deferred early with stats that were slightly better, but what might hurt you (and hurt me) is that Gtown doesn't look at the writing, so you're really looking at a 1360, which is a bit low. Remember, you never know!

Which school are you applying to there?

Where are you from?

Georgetown: Reach

I concur. Georgetown is a bit of a reach for you. Not an extreme one though, and you might get in though I wouldn't count on it. By the way, if you are attracted to the idea of going to school in DC, you might want to consider George Washington U. Your SATs would put you towards the top 75% of their applicant pool. And if it's a Catholic university you want, you might want to consider Boston College.

ok thanks guys--i've known it was a reach all along, but not how much. i do have plenty of other schools, and g-town is probably the hardest to get into, so it's not like my life is over if i'm waitlisted/denied.

i'm applying to the college. and hopefully, the art portfolio i'm planning on sending will count for something (i've been planning on it, phil414).

and yeah amptron, i did consider bc, but it seemed a little too preppy for my taste. it was in my original list, though. i'm applying to notre dame as my other catholic college (yeah, i know, that's a reach too--but hopefully not as much.)

thanks 4 the input guys.

Might want to try Holy Cross-smaller version of Gtwon and easier to get into. Also HC just built a new soccer stadium. Also Holy Cross is SAT OPTIONAL.

i actually looked @ that...too far away for my taste, though. and school's out until jan. 3, so i can't really get my counselors/teachers to do any more apps. thanks though.
