Chances? I know there are a lot of things, I'm different i swear

New to this forums, Hello everyone, I'm a junior in high school. I excel academically but I lack ECs greatly. I've always wanted to go to University of Washington, I wanted to major in Biology and then go to their medical school specifically for Pain Medicine (I want to be an anesthesiologist).

What are my chances of being accepted, taking into account my lack of ECs? I plan to volunteer at a hospital my father used to work at this summer and I'm in California Scholastic Federation... thats about it. I do have a summer job as well, working at a greek place in our town...

OOS: California (come from highly ranked high school, 890 API score)
Freshman: 4.0 all A's, , did wrestling
Sophomore GPA: 4.2
classes: pre calc, world history, eng 2 honors, chemistry, weightlifting, spanish 3 honors
Junior GPA (so far) : 4.6, AP chem, AP calculus AB, AP language, us history, physics
I have all A's in my classes right now, I know I have a high GPA but I'm worried I don't have many extra curriculars.... I don't like to mention this as if its some perk for getting in, but I lost my father my freshman year. It has just been my mother and I. I plan to write about this in my essay.

as far as SAT's go, I haven't taken mine yet. My sister got a 2050 and I plan to get easily above 2000+, I am also enrolled in Princeston Review to help boost my SAT scores....

So... what are my chances of getting in?? What should i focus more on?? I'm trying to volunteer alot this summer and next... and definitely gonna try and retain my 4.6 all year, I have high A's in all my classes so far..

This is an old thread, but maybe you’ll still value some helpful information. From what I know about the UW, SAT scores and your GPA are important, but they really look at who you are as a person and what you can bring to their school. Given, a 4.0 and 2400 SAT is highly unlikely to get you denied, but I think ECs are really important to them. You still have two years of high school left - find something you enjoy. Absolutely anything. If there are no clubs that you like at your school, make one. As far as your essay, I am sorry to hear about your father. However, essays are usually not the place to tell the school about those kinds of things. They want you to reflect who you really are as a person in your essays, and this year, the two essays were about diversity so it would not fit in anyway. You can mention that in the special circumstances box that they have, though.

In addition, just because your sister got a 2050 doesn’t necessarily mean you will get anything close to hers. My brother’s score was much, much lower than mine and we both come from a family that pushes us to do well. Don’t worry about her score - just yours. Focus on your school work and SATS, but find activities you really like for ECs if you want that badly to get into UW. They are one of the schools out there that ACTUALLY wants a well-rounded student and focus less on scores.
