Is your GPA a 3.61 with AP or IB courses?

Overall, your GPA and SAT score are not very competitive.
(Competitive would be 3.7+ w/AP or IB & GPA/1800+ SAT) I spoke to an admissions specialist at UW
Saying this, UW looks at applications holistically; therefore, your numbers are not the only factors they consider.
You have a decent amount of extracurriculars, which is a plus.
As a transfer applicant that was recently accepted to UW Seattle, I can honestly say that your personal statement can make it or break it for you.
Out of HS, I was rejected to UW. I saw numerous applicants with lower numbers than me get in, but they had excellent essays.

Good luck.

It was a 3.61 not weighted… But I got A’s in my AP’s and Honors if that’s what you meant.

My essay is great, but my culture response seemed not so great… I struggled with that one the most because I’m not a very cultural person haha

If you don’t mind me asking, what was your highschool gpa or sat?
@UWchancemeh

@uwhusky1997

That’s great!
Haha, I struggled with that essay as well.

CC Transfer (Accepted):

-3.30 GPA
-4.0 Pre-Req GPA
-25 ACT
-Great Personal Statement

Thank you if only UW had a higher acceptance rate for freshman applicants… Fingers crossed!

Have you considered Western Washington or Central Washington as backups? I have friends with a daughter at CWU and she loves it there. Heard good things about WWU too.

I would but UW is my dream school, and I know that seems cliche but I want to feel like I’ve accomplished my life goal if that even makes sense haha

Well I got accepted into UWT… now we wait for seattle!
