Your SAT and ECs are certainly good, but your GPA is a bit lower than average. However, UChicago is an essay-oriented school, so a good essay can propel you to acceptance even if your numbers aren’t as good. You will certainly have a chance if you put time and effort into your application — UChicago does care a lot about that! Good luck!
With strong EC’s and SAT scores, I think you will be competitive! I mean your GPA isn’t a 4.0 but I still don’t think that completely rules you out. Just write some awesome essays and you have a good chance! are you a junior? Also, do you have any tips for the SAT subject science tests since you scored a perfect score on both? I have a really bad ap chem teacher so I’m pretty much self-studying for the sat subject chem test and exam and any tips will help! Thanks!
Thanks… Bio i took freshman year so uhhh. Chem I took after Honors sophomore year. I used the Barrons review guide which really helped. For physics, I am a junior so I never actually finished Physics this year yet so I had to self study most of it through random review books online. Math 2 isnt too hard if you pased Pre Calc. Just study alot and you will do fine…
thanks! I’m in calc ab right now, so I’m not too worried about math 2 but I’m really worried about chem bc well my teacher is horrible which is making me scared for the subject test.
