I already have a guaranteed acceptance into UC Riverside, do you think I could do UC Irvine, UCLA, and Berkeley? I am applying to Northwestern, could I get into there as well?

Also both my parents went to USC, could that positively affect me in my application?
All answers apperciated!

Your GPA is a little low but your course rigor is good, your ACT score is really solid compared to your SAT, and your EC’s are a little thin. Overall, with your URM status, I think you have a fair chance at USC and only an outside chance at NU. UCLA and UCB will be reaches given your GPA, which needs to be calculated using the UC GPA scale. I would only send your ACT scores, if it isn’t too late. Good luck.

USC weights legacy heavier than almost any other school, I’ve heard. I heard some stat that like 21% of their applicants were accepted because of legacy. Usually I’d call it a reach for you, but because of the legacy, I think you’re in.

I forgot to add that I spent 3 weeks at Northwestern this summer taking college classes there. would that affect me positively at NU as well?

It shows “demonstrated interest” and will give you a few “brownie points”.

Into all UCs EXCEPT
UCB: Match/Low match
UCLA (most likely in): Match

Chance back please?
