Thank You!!
Honestly, even if you get your SAT scores to around 2100 or an ACT score up to 32 or 33, your GPA is relatively low, your class rigor looks lacking (depending on what is offered at your school). I see a decent shot at Washington, UCSD is a reach, Boston University is probably something that you should consider taking off the list. I can’t speak about the other colleges.
UCSD/SLO: Reach
Test scores and GPA too low to be competitive
Try to get your SAT up to 1800 for Bentley. During the application/interview process don’t talk about business, talk about how much you love French Club, Bank and Cheer. Bentley if filled with business students but the University wants a diverse study body so try to stand out that way and you’ll have a decent shot. GPA is difficult because every school is different. I had a 3.9 unweighted GPA but my high school was a joke, if you know your class rank that would be a better judge.
also I forgot to add I did a summer internship at a Banking firm if it makes a difference.
My essay is about my experiences there.
unfortunately my school doesn’t do class rank…
@HapticFever unfortunately my school doesn’t rank,
also I forgot to add that I did a summer internship at a Banking firm, if that makes a difference and my essay for the school is about my experiences there.
After reading your comment, I feel like I should change my essay, to make it more unbusinesslike.
I would write about my volunteering but that is already my common app essay.
thanks for the chance!
Your test scores indicate that you would have a difficult time keeping up with coursework at the California schools.
How many AP courses does your school offer? Do you know your unweighted GPA? Regardless, you definitely need to raise your SAT score to at least an 1850, ideally a 1900+ in order to be remotely competitive at some of your listed schools.
