Hey everyone,

I'm a high school junior (brand new here, so mods, feel free to move the post if it's in the wrong place). My top two are currently New College of Florida and Eckerd College. I plan on double majoring in Humanities and English Literature and am a Florida resident.

Weight GPA: 4.1 currently.

Unweighted: 3.8

Have not yet taken the SAT; I will almost definitely use my scores on that versus the ACT. On the first PSAT, I got a 1940; the second, in which I retook math, gave me a 2010 and a 1300 combined. Taking it in March, hope to apply soon after.

AP Courses: I now attend a collegiate school, which means that I take college courses alongside high school. If those count as APs, I will have 7 at the end of junior year, and somewhere around... Not sure--I'll have definitely a year's worth, probably near two of college finished when I graduate.

Honors: 9 as of now. Maybe more, it's been a while since I've done traditional high school...

Extra Curriculars: Throughout high school career:

Freshman Year:
German Club
Quiz Bowl
Literary Club

Sophomore Year:
German Club
Quiz Bowl
Literary Club
Tech Club

Junior:
SGA
National Honor Society

(Would be on more, but my school has about 500 kids; it's only juniors and seniors.)

Outside of School:

Young Adult Advisory Board on library for freshman and sophomore; volunteered at library; involved in my church's youth group; volunteer at soup kitchen; a member of the Youth Leadership Team for the Alliance Against Teen Pregnancy; knit clothing for the homeless throughout fall semester; I'm probably assisting one of my professors for 20 hours this summer, and if not that interning in some sort, as 20 hours of career-related volunteering are needed for graduation; am in the cooperating college's honors program.

I was invited to apply for the Telluride Summer Program; no idea if I'll get in, but if I do, how do you think that that will affect my chances? I didn't even know about it until they sent me the package. They said it was based on PSAT scores--the invitation--and my math wasn't fantastic, while my reading/writing were both in the 700s.

I will apply as a freshman.

Thanks! I'll chance back.
