** CHANCES? =O ** ~ UC Riverside

super, yeah I'll be a Junior fall qtr. How do you like ucr right now? If you keep up the stats you have right now, you should have absolutely no problem getting in to even SD and LA.

cardinal - ohh icic.. lol so that's what that was on your "location." So you finished your IGETC and everything card??

hobo - lol your funny~ was UCR your first choice when you went hobo?? and by the way where are you transferring to and if you don't mind me asking, what's your stats?

mint - thanks mint, hopefully things work out! UCR has turned out to be better than I initially thought it would be.. but i don't know.. my mind keeps wandering about other schools.. what's your stats by the way mint?? (if you dont mind me asking)

AND HAVE ANY OF YOU THAT ARE TRANSFERRING, EVER GOTTEN AN "N/C" OR A WITHDRAW "W" ?? I'm so worried about my n/c..

hell no, ucr was like the last school on my list. however, they are good with the $$$ and i didn't want to go to community college.

i'm probably going to SD if idon't get into USC and i had a 3.55 as a business major. I'm pretty lazy but im hoping to develop good study habits when i get to my next school. I don't have any N/C or withdrawals... only a Pass for a class that i changed into pass/fail.

Ohhh icic.. does SD have a business major for you hobo??

nah, SD has a good econ program though.. not the same but ill settle for it.. beats UCR by a mile :)

are you worried that your grades may go down at a harder school like SD, especially since you may be considering graduate school??

yes and no... i've heard the classes are a bit harder at SD but that doesn't scare me too much. Its more of a "will i slack off" kinda deal. I didn't really try very hard at UCR, i was one of those guys that went to class like once a week and kinda studied a couple hours before a final/midterm. I just need to keep motivated to study. And i'm not planning on goign to grad school after i graduate.. i want to work a couple years and hopefully get my MBA at a good school.

wow go to class once a week and still get 3.55 huh?? nice.. and looks like you got things planned out.. seems like a good undergrad like SD would be a good thing to have on your resume for your, "working a couple years before getting MBA" plan.

yeah.. im hoping SD offers more recruiting / employment opportunities than R. Also, from what i hear the environment of UCSD is quiet and chill. everyone pretty much studies and hopefully that'll be beneficial for me lol.

heh.. yah let's hope.. and yah like i went to that career day thing we had a while ago and the companies that were there like: target & etc, made me wonder... isnt that more for like a summer job sorta thing, but not really a career?? i dont know.. that was the first time i went...

yeah, i went to the career fair too... lame job opportunties and crappy recruiting makes me sad.

Haha, yep I have 1 W on my transcript..my GPA was barely a 3.0, though I had some impressive extracurriculars/internships. I got into irvine and sb, but rejected to SD..which apparently is difficult to get accepted as Economics major, which is what I applied to, with Business Econ as the alternate. I don't mind UCR, but I don't like being around people who aren't proud of being here.
