Chances of Acceptance and AES?

Hi, guys, I’m thecuriousguy (or you can call me Peter, another pseudonym of mine).

Could you chance me for acceptance into UTD and whether or not I would receive AES, and if so, what level of AES (achievement, distinction, or honors) is most likely using 2014-2016 levels of competition?

ACT: 31 (E33,M27,R34,S31, Writing 34), am retaking soon and hoping for at least a 32
SAT: Taken, but will not use to apply to any colleges

High School Rank: School doesn’t rank to my knowledge, but if it does, I’m almost positively in the top 25%, probably somewhere around the top 10%.

Took/am taking: Algebra I/II (with some trig I believe), Geometry, Biology, Chemistry, Environmental systems, Physics I, 3 years of Engineering, Statistics, Statistics Dual-Cred with UT Austin, English I/II/III, Rhetoric Dual-Cred with UT Austin, Economics, 3 years of Technology, US History, Debate, World Hist/Geo, 3 years of Art, 2 years of Latin, Business Information Management I, Digital Design and Media Production… (I probably forgot several courses but those aren’t too important. I took Spanish back in middle school and got a year of language in high school out of the way)

My grades are rather constant, I have only gotten one B in my classes over 3 years (with the exception of Latin, which I no longer take), so I have a ~3.9/4.0 GPA.

ECs:

  1. Co-Founder and elected Vice President of Scientific Design Club Grades 10-Present
  2. Mu Alpha Theta Member, Grade 11
  3. Student Tutor, Grade 11
  4. Robotics Club Member, Grade 11
  5. Film Club Member, Grade 10
  6. Does science fair count as an EC?

I don’t know if these count but:
I would expect 2-3 fantastic recommendation letters (1 from a current teacher, 1 from a past teacher, and 1 from a past teacher who remained a mentor to me for other activities) and 2-3 fairly decent recommendation letters (all from current teachers)
I had a lab internship there last summer, and I may or may not this summer.

Thanks in advance!

I think you are definitely accepted. For the AES scholarship, I think you need to get your math score up. I know you are in the range they say for the smallest one but, at least for SAT, they look at reading and math only. Do your best to pull your math score up and I think your chances for a scholarship would improve.

if it’s for Fall 2017 admittance, you’ll get accepted. AES is probably lowest level. They only care about GPA/ranking and SAT/ACT.
