Not very many APs being offered, but I am taking 1 this year (English). I will take more next year. I am also taking one dual credit class (Accepted - most in state schools.) Other classes are honors unless they are not offered as honors, dual, or AP.

You need a big junior year. I see no athletics. PSAT should really be in the 190+ category and SATs will need to come up significantly. What was the breakdown? Eagle Scout helps a lot. Your other ECs are nice, but... You have a lot of work to do this year.

I am not sure on the break up because the score comes from a Mock SAT I took. I will be taking the PSAT again this year. Our school does not offer the regular types of sports (ie Basketball, football, baseball, etc.) So i will be doing Intramurals this year. Thank you for your help.

I noticed on the Navy forum that you were from Texas. From what I've seen, that is a VERY competitive state. I swear that half the people at Summer Seminar were from Texas (and this probably isn't even an exaggeration). Good Luck with your applications.

I went to USAFA summer seminar session 1 and I too found it to be a heavy Texas crowd. My guess would be 1/3 from the responses in the many briefings. It is very competitive here though, which is bad for applicants like you and me. Last year in my congressional district (19th) though, 5 people were admitted as class of 2009. Also for summer seminar from my district, I found out that 10 people applied and only 2 were invited to attend.

Quick question, after the DODMERB website has confirmed that they received the medical papers, how long before they determine your qualification?

Mine was quick. Had mine in first week of february, DQd by end of feb.

Now my rebuttle has been there for a while, sent it in the begining of the summer (starting for class of 10) and no word on it. I check the website and call every now and then.
