Chances of Admission? Bad, Good, or Great?

Based on your knowledge of the College of William and Mary and the admissions process, do you guys think I’d have a good chance for W&M?

I’ll be grateful for any insight you guys could give me. Let me know if you have any questions.

I would say your chances are fairly similar to UVA since you are OOS. UNC in state and Wake Forest should be somewhat easier admits. You look like a pretty strong applicant, but ideally your SAT, particularly because you are OOS, would be closer to 75th percentile, which is 1490 at W&M and 1480 at UVA. You are below median for both.

W&M does look at the full application and does like applicants that demonstrate interest, so perhaps EDII will help.

Thanks for your response. Yes, the SAT score is the main thing that worries me. I think the rest of my application would be pretty strong, so I’m not sure how big of a weight they’d put on a lower SAT from out of state… I’m strongly considering EDII because of how much I loved Williamsburg and the College when I toured it. Wake Forest is nice but insanely expensive compared to the others, and UNC I don’t particularly like (but it’s closer and less expensive compared to the rest). That’s why I’m more concerned with the Virginia schools that I’m applying to.
