UT is my dream school, and I'm wondering what my chances are of getting in.
I'm not in the top 9%, but here are some details about me.

Student in San Antonio, took freshmen year in Arizona.
SAT score: 1750/2400 (Retaking it in October and shooting for an 1800 at least)
GPA: 3.7/4.0
AP Classes:
- English Lang.
- English Lit.
- Psychology
- Statistics

Other:
- I've taken three years of Spanish, and I'm graduating distinguished.
- I've been a part of the spirit organization at my school for three years Pep Squad, JV Dance, and now Varsity Dance Team.
- I'm in NHS, and Spanish NHS, and I'm applying for Dance Arts NHS.
- I've completed several hours of Volunteer Service.
- Latino Culture Club

- I've danced with studios outside of school

I'd be content with the CAP program, which is one year at UTSA before transferring to UT, correct? If I were to do the CAP program, would that mean automatic admissions the next year?

Please let me know your thoughts, they are well appreciated. Thank you!

With these new 2012 admissions guidelines I’m I don’t think anyone can give you an accurate estimation of your chances. Applicants outside of the top 9% have always been reviewed more holistically so I’m not even sure if this change will affect you much. We’ll just have to stick around and see how this admissions cycle turns out before we can get an idea of what they’re looking for.
