I recently applied to UF and would like to have an idea of my chances of getting in:

AP Classes to take:

Class rank: 10th last time i checked

5.5 weighted? ***?

Are you a Florida resident? If yes, you have a decent chance at getting in. Unfortunately, out-of-state is extremely difficult, and I think you would be a long shot if you aren’t a resident.

Yeah, I have a 5.5 weighted b/c of AP/honors classes. And yes, I am a florida resident.

How do you weigh your classes?

I thought AP classes were worth up to 5.0, weighted? If that were so, then it would be impossible to get a 5.5 weighted cumulative GPA, even if all your classes were AP’s since freshman year.

Yes, it is impossible for you to have a 5.5. UF will recalculate your GPA on their own scale (.5 for honors and 1.0 for AP/IB).

Figured out how to recalculate since I got my unofficial transcript today. Its 4.33.
