<p>I just calculated my EFC, and it came up as $2000. I've heard of people getting 50k in totally need based finaid from NYU if their families can't afford it. Can anyone tell me if I'd be a likely candidate for this kind of aid? I understand that NYU is VERY stingy and only gives aid to those who really, really need it or deserve it in scholarships. Plus, I've heard that those who need it are usually given tons of loans. </p>
<p>IF I get in, what kind of aid could I expect? I doubt I could get very good scholarships because my grades/SATs/extracurricular activities are good enough for NYU, but they aren't outstanding. I want to live on campus, so the whole tuition should cost about 50k a year.</p>
