My family makes less than 45,000 a year (household of 5).

I am a first generation college attendee.

I am a Hispanic female.

Now, I am scared if I am putting all this effort into my application only to get rejected. Can you all please give me your opinions? My dream school is Notre Dame. If I do get selected, can I only rank Notre Dame as a College Match? I like some of the other partner colleges, but I wouldn't want to be binded to a college that I wasn't 100% sure about. If I don't get selected for a College Match scholarship for ND, can I still apply for Regular Decision and hopefully receive some financial aid? Thank you in advance.

You’ll still be able to apply RD and perhaps ED depending on the school. You can rank as few or as many colleges as you want.

You’ll probably get finalist status, but don’t count on being matched unless your essays are AMAZING. Yes, you can just rank ND. ND has EA, so go ahead and apply early. I believe all Questbridge schools meet 100% of demonstrated need. Given your income, you’ll get a sizable financial aid package if you get accepted EA/RD to ND, or any other QB school (not as generous as the full ride of the scholarship, but the chances of getting in EA/RD is significantly higher than the chances of getting matched).

Technically, it is impossible to project who is a finalist and who isn’t in a full-proof manner… But really, if you’re not selected, something went awry.

“if you’re not selected, something went awry.”

—if you are not selected as a finalist?

the last post I was asking what was meant by the stmt

“if you’re not selected, something went awry.”
