ACT: I just took it this past weekend, I haven't received my scores yet.
Currently, I am ranked 63 out of 599. I know I am only 4 out of the Top 10%, but I fear that I might have dropped some due to a lot of withdrawals in my school.

I'm a legacy applicant as well, my mom graduated from TAMU.

My dream has been to go to TAMU since I can remember, and I was hoping to get some insight from others on what they think my chances are. I would be satisfied with the Gateway program even, so if anyone has information on that I'd be all ears. Thanks in advance!

Aim for 30+/2050+ for auto-admission (as long as you can still maintain top-25%, score 600+ on each of CR and M on the SAT or 27 on each of English and Math on the ACT)… http://admissions.tamu.edu/freshman/admitted

@Catria‌ if I’m not able to get those scores, what would you say the chances are?

You still have a pretty good chance where you are, so keep up the good work. Texas A&M isn’t hard to get into. Just be aware, the amount of applications may increase because of Johnny Football, so do try to raise your scores by a little bit. :)

A&M goes largely by the numbers, so you want high test scores and top 25% or top 10%. Try to get there.

If you can’t, write some great essays and sell yourself.

I think Lizardly is largely exaggerating. At A&M the average SAT score is in the 500s and it even is as low as 490 for writing. It’s a breeze getting into A&M. You could bring your SAT score up to about 1700 and then you would be a definite in.
