chances of being recinded? should i contact the college and explain?

so i got off the waitlist for UVa and will attend there in the fall as a CS major. my grades for the first sem were As and Bs except for a D in multi variable calc, which was an extremely hard class. i was forced to take it because there were no other math classes available and could not exit the class. second semester my grades stayed about the same, however i ended up getting a D in linear algebra (also which i was forced to take because of scheduling issues) and another D in a CS post ap semester class, which i only knew after graduation when i saw my final transcript. my overall gpa went from a 4.06 beginning of senior year to a 3.97 by the end of HS. I took mostly APs and post-APs, as well as one research. i have two Ds for second semester and one D for the first semester.
I want to clarify that in the second semester i was not lazy, but had the flu three times and missed so many days of school. not to mention i also had to get surgery done as well as deal with some issues at home. i had a really hard time throughout senior year but in the second semester in particular, and i have doctors notes to prove it. I thought i recieved exemption from that CS class, but apparently not.
WHAT SHOULD I DO?? should i just contact UVa and explain? or will that draw attention to my bad grades? also when do they send out warnings for recinding applications?
thank you so much!

Now is the time to be proactive. Email them and let them know that you are willing to retake classes if you must and reaffirm your commitment to academic excellence. Don’t wait until they rescind your acceptance.

okay i will do that. do i contact admission? or should it be someone specific?

Yes. If you need to speak to a specific person, they will advise you of that.

its been 10 days and i haven’t gotten any response. does that mean im not at risk or that they just haven’t contacted me yet?

also orientation is in less than 2 weeks and im gonna have to meet with my new advisor at some point then so could i ask/defend my case then?
