Hi I’m a high school senior. I just found out that I was accepted to UCSD as a human biology major and I’m completely ecstatic (it was my top school). The down side is that I received a D in Calculus I at my local college last semester, and I know that the UC’s do not accept any grades lower than a C so I am really panicking at the possibility of getting rescinded. I notified the UC Application center at the end of January about my low grade and the fact that I will be retaking Calc I at a community college this semester. Do you think that UCSD had a chance to look at my application update before they accepted me? Or should I resend them another application update through the UCSD portal? I talked to an admissions officer today about my D last semester and that I am currently retaking the class (hoping to earn an A) and he said that he really couldn’t tell me whether I would be rescinded. He also said if the school was to rescind me they would do it after I sent in my final high school transcripts. So that means I will only really know if I’m rescinded in June… which scares me because I don’t want to have to end up going to a community college. Has anyone been through a situation like this before? Or does anyone know of someone who has had a similar situation? Any help would be immensely appreciated.
I’m sorry to say that I’ve never heard of such an instance before, but I did a quick search around and [found someone](http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-california-san-diego/1627796-will-ucsd-rescind-my-offer-because-of-one-d.html) who was in a similar situation last year. The last post on the thread might help you, or you can contact the OP and ask how it went for him/her.
