Chances of being rescinded?

I have heard that Stanford is especially strict on senior year grades, at least in comparison to other colleges. Is it true?

Would getting all B's and one C be grounds for being rescinded? or being put on academic probation?

I was EXTREMELY surprised that I got in today, and now I am really worried.

I'm interested to see what other people say, but from what I've heard, it is extremley rare for colleges to rescind admissions. I dont believe a C and all Bs will be a problem. I think colleges are more worried about Ds and Fs. I know Stanford has higher standards than the average college, but i think this still applies.

A C might be a problem. It's probably best to call the admissions office and ask.

now I wish I wrote my exams better :)

ok so itll probably be straight b's (with a's in like my fluff classes).

does anyone have an idea of what would be considered grounds for being rescinded? can any current students help?

i tried calling the admissions office, but i couldn't get a straight answer. they just kept telling me that they don't really have any statistics or anything.

Just get your act together, and do the best you can. You'll probably be fine if you do.

Yeah I know I have to, but I'm just really worried. Haha.

And I keep hearing about people getting letters in the mail about their grades and stuff. Does Stanford hear about your grades before the end of the year? The letter didn't say to send them anything.

They will get your final transcript.

anyone happen to have some insight into this?

floppy,

How about instead of seeing how low you can go, continue doing well in your classes. And, obviously - you know as well as I do - that you can do well in your classes.

:)

The thing is I can't bring up my grades anymore, there aren't enough significant grades left in my classes. I already calculated everything. I didn't mean to come off as though I was just being lazy because this is basically my final grade.

Oh floppy! Well, I would say - at this point in time - get the best grades you possibly can. I would say D's and C's are red-flags, but I am not the admissions officer who offered you admission. Just get the best possible grades and don't do anything else to risk your admission to Stanford.

Good luck and I hope to see you in the fall.
