I have a desire to serve in the military, in fact, I’m excited to serve. I also want to go to Michigan, my dad went there. I have fallen in love with the school but I have to pay out of state tuition in order to go there. So the NROTC scholarship is the only way! Look at my stats, do I look like a competitive candidate?
I run cross country and track, varsity in both. I have a few medals from cross country and I’m also the captain! Im in NHS, beta club, Mu Alpha Theta(Math Club which involves tutoring), Young Republicans and Key Club. Beyond that, I have 3.84 UW GPA and a 4.5 W. I have taken 5 AP classes up through my junior year and I will be taking about 5 next year. I also have a large number of honors classes. I have a ton of community service time including mission trips and I have gotten a 32 on the ACT. I have also gotten a perfect score on the Physical fitness test!
Major in Computer Science (Tier 2)
Next year I will go out and try to obtain a leadership role in one of the clubs!
Am I good candidate for the scholarship?
