Chances of getting admitted fall 2020

Hey,

I applied to SDSU as an international transfer student majoring in Mechanical engineering, I have a 3.4 gpa with 3 requirement classes missing. what are my chances on getting admitted?

thank u

If you are missing 3 required courses needed for transfer, I would guess your chances are low. Will you have the 3 requirements completed by Spring? If so, then your chances are better.

I won’t have them completed by spring. But is it true that there is exceptions to international students?

Thank you

Here is what SDSU states about International transfers. Not sure about exceptions but it does depend upon where you are getting your current undergraduate pre-req’s and requirements completed. Also even domestic applicants that have not completed the required transfer courses are at a disadvantage.

International transfer applicants must complete the transfer admission minimum requirements to be considered for admission. Please review the Transfer Admissions website before applying to SDSU to ensure you meet these requirements. International students with only foreign coursework should contact the Office of International Admissions before applying to SDSU.

Got it. Thank you. And does SDSU take No pass serious even though it doesn’t affect the gpa?

No pass on a transfer requirement?

Just a no pass on a class that isn’t required for my major so no not for transfer requirement

If is not CSU transferrable, then it will not be an issue.

Makes sense, do international students get early admission decisions?

I am not aware that transfers have Early admission decisions like the Freshman. Usually March is when you hear about your decision.

I see that no pass doesn’t really matter if itsn’t a required course. What about if you get a D or an F in a required transfer course for sdsu, do they take it serious? will they deny admission?

Getting a D or F in a required transfer course would definitely be taken seriously in that if you are accepted, they could rescind your acceptance.
