I haven’t received any info about an interview (in-person or Skype). What’s the chance of getting an interview now (since it’s pretty far into the month)? And will this affect my application in any way?
(for more info: living in South Korea, idk, about interviewer availability here)
I’m also kinda worried that I did something wrong on the application, or that the e-mail came and I accidentally deleted it or something… Not sure how to get over that fear.
@student11212 Don’t worry, apparently (due to the new way interviews were conducted), there were quite a few people who didn’t get interviews. You should check Spam to see if you may have missed it there, but aside from than that you probably didn’t do anything wrong.
Interviews for domestic students was November 18. MIT said that was a hard deadline and so far it looks like it. I would guess that it would be the same deadline for international students.
Interviews are not mandatory and from what I’ve read, many international students do not get interviews due to scarcity interviewers in their area.
If you are not admitted EA, but deferred, then I would contact MIT and ask that you be put on the list for interviews for RD admissions. It may be automatically done, but never hurts to ask.
