Activities- Boys Varsity Tennis-potentially the captain this upcoming season, student government-I am a class Rep., and student council) member of NHS
AP Classes- AP EURO AP BIO AP GOV AND POL APUSH AP MIRCO AND MACRO
I got a 3 on both apush and gov exam
senior year classes …

GW is my dream school do i have a chance to get in

BTW my major is going to be political science and possibly history

If possible, try to get some volunteer experience this year before you apply. Your academic stats look great, and it’s quite possible you could get in with those and a solid essay alone, but if you really want to have a great shot, another EC or volunteer work would really help.

Just to be clear, I’m not saying that you won’t get in with your current stats. I just wanted to offer advice if you want to make your application stronger. I think if you had a little more on the EC side you’d have an excellent chance at getting in- just make sure your essay shows how badly you want to go to GW!

Remember to demonstrate interest in the school any way you can.

Hello, I will be applying to GWU EDII in January and I was wondering what my chances are. If you could please review my stats and give me an idea of where I stand, it would be greatly appreciated.

I go to a very rigorous public school in New Jersey that has been ranked as high as 1st and as low as 6th in the past four years.

@timpi21 Your stats look solid so I think you’ve got a great chance at getting accepted, especially if applying ED. If you can find other ways at conveying interest (campus tour, interview, strong essay, etc) I’d be surprised if you didn’t get in.

Also, for future reference, you should start a new thread instead of posting in someone else’s. If nothing else it ensures that more people will see you question.
