Chances of getting in...obviously.

I'm only a Sophmore, but I go to a pretty competitive high school. My Freshman year was awful. My accumalative was 3.0. My first quarter this year (Sophmore) was 3.47, and I'm getting a 3.43 as my second quarter. 3rd quarter I'm really going to get it up into the 3.7-3.8. My college choices are Loyola University of Chicago, Purdue, Indiana University-Bloomington and Penn State.

I know I'm only a sophomore, but do you think I would have a good chance at getting into any of these schools? Junior year I think my accum. would probably be around a 3.5-3.6 because I'm taking tougher classes than I normally do.

Thanks.

Your chances based upon what you posted:
Loyola University of Chicago--Safe Match
Purdue University (West Lafayette)--Safe Match to Match
Indiana University-Bloomington--Match
Penn State--Match to Slight Reach (need about a 3.56 overall GPA to get in here--and they are more particular about the GPA than the test scores).

Note that Purdue has the best engineering programs, Indiana has the best business, law and music programs, Penn State is probably the best for the medical sciences (biology, chemistry)--and unfortunately, I don't know much about Loyola.

Best of luck to you.

P.S. My son is in the business program (undecided between finance/business law) at Indiana right now--so I know that school really well if you have any questions about it.

Thanks so much.
And yeah, I figured Penn State would be tougher to get into.
Do you know if Indiana has a good Psychology program? That's what I really want to get into, or maybe business. I heard Indiana has a great business program.
How is the campus there? Is there a lot to do outside of it?
