Chances of getting in to Columbia

I've noticed a bunch of other threads but they were like 5 years old. I was just wondering if I have a chance of getting in to Columbia.

I am currently a high school sophomore with a 3.96 unweighted and 4.6 weighted GPA. I took 1 AP class last year and 3 this year. When I graduate, I plan to have taken 9-11 AP classes. The rest of my classes are honors. I do really well in my classes( Only one B so far, in AP Chemistry). I took the PSAT this year and scored a 176(out of 220). I have not taken the actual SAT but I plan to this summer. I am part of three community service clubs: Beta, Key, and Psychology Club. I plan to join more next year and run for higher officer positions. I am not part of any sports because I am not very athletic and my school has the best teams in the area so I wouldn't make it. I am Hispanic and I have heard that IVY Leagues like to have minorities. I really love Columbia and New York City in general. I plan to become a doctor and I heard that Columbia has a great Pre-Med program as well as a medical school. I want to find out if my dreams of going to Columbia are possible because if not I will start looking at other schools.

Sorry for rambling and thank you in advance for taking the time to respond.

psat is out of 240 just to let you know x]

Wait until at least January 2014 to take the SAT as a junior. You might even try the PSAT again to see if you qualify for NMS designations. Otherwise, it’s hard to determine your chances with sophomore test results.
