In your honest opinion, what are my chances if getting accepted to Tulane?
A few things about myself:
ACT: 21
GPA: 3.5
Classes: AP calculus, College English,
Honors choir, Hinors organic chemistry, honors physics.
I have several musical and scientific accomplishments. I won a chemistry competition at Vanderbilt University where I designed a solar cell that absorbed the most energy.
I speak Hebrew, Arabic, French, Greek, and Spanish.
I play classical guitar at weddings. I am a songwriter and singer. As well as pianist. I study astrophysics and chemistry in my free
Time.

Obviously, this isn't all I put in my application. But this gives u a good idea about myself. Tulane considers other areas as well as academics. Do u think I have a reasonable chance for consideration?

That ACT score is very low for Tulane, and for other selective colleges. Have you considered any test-optional colleges? I think you should look into them, so that your other accomplishments won’t be diminished on an application.

I was told that the ACT is not required for Tulane and that they don’t really focus on ACT but rather activities outside of school.

I don’t think that Tulane is test-optional (unless it has become so very recently). I think you may submit either the SAT or ACT test report. While they may focus on other factors, they will consider test scores. Their 25th-percentile ACT score for accepted students is 29. That means that only 25% of students accepted have scores under 29. While your multicultural background will compensate to some extent, a 21 remains very low for Tulane. If they are test-optional, it is not important, but I think you are still required to submit SAT or ACT scores.

So you are saying that my chances are 50/50?
