Chances of getting in

Hi everyone,

My name is Bobby and I am from Miami, Florida. I am a rising senior and am getting very nervous about the college admission process. Could someone let me know what my chances are of getting in?

GPA (weighted): 3.46

ACT Score: should be between 25-27 (taking them for the final time next weekend)

Extra-curricular: Leadership/Student Government at school (coordinator of various school-wide functions and Senior Class Representative)
- Local, regional, and international leadership through my youth group (President, VP of Communication/Fundraising, International Chair)
- 78 Hours of Community Service

~ I will be taking Lifestyle Design and Marine Science Honors online over the summer to up my GPA.

~ My senior schedule is: AP Psychology, Pre-Calc, AP Environmental Science, AP Gov, AP Econ, SGA, TV Production 4, AP English

I am applying to University of Central Florida, Florida State University, University of Florida, and Boston University

I am very nervous! I have never failed a class, just a lot of Cs in Honors classes and Bs in Standards, with a few As in between and in an AP class. Let me know what you think. Thanks!

rank?
10 char

219/661 right now with a 3.38… that doesn’t count this semester that i just had which made it a 3.46

i’m looking to major in communications and had an internship at a pr firm and now am working as an assistant at another pr firm

For communications, go UCF.

Probable at FSU
Reach UF…you can try Santa Fe for two years and xfer in

Have you heard that Syracuse will be working with Miami-Dade CC to offer a direct in after completing your AA? Syracuse has a GREAT communications school. This way you pay in-state for 2 years, and SU gives good FA. Just a thought.

UF and BU will be tougher. Not sure on the others. I would also look into Ohio University, Missouri and UMass Amherst. They are all strong in the Communications area. Best of luck!
