chances of getting in??

Have legacy- my sister went there and graduated a few years ago as a student on the Deans List of the engineering school
No class rank but about 405 ppl per grade (many applying to UMich)
I have an 89.07 UW gpa and a 33 ACT composite.

APs I took junior year:
-AP Physics 2
-AP English Language and Composition

APs senior year:
-AP Macroeconomics
-AP BC Calculus
-AP Environmental Science

I have good extracurriculars. Upward trend in my GPA (lowest freshman year and progressively did better every year) but I am still really nervous about how low it is.
What do ppl think my chances are?
I’m applying EA and was also wondering if it would be too risky to apply to the engineering program instead of general school. Thanks!!!

Really hard to say since the GPA is on the lower side. Applying LSA Vs engineering is almost a wash now with both having 3.9 GPA with 32-35 Act with engineering being 34. But cross campus transfer into engineering is pretty simple. If instate then better chance. Apply EA and be prepared to be deferred. Show interest and visit if your local

Since GPA still seems to be a pretty big factor, I would recommend applying to LSA in general first, then cross-transferring to Engineering School after your first year! This might be a safer way to get into Engineering if you really wanted it. Also, you get to explore your choices in your first year as an LSA. (You can still take engineering prerequisite courses to prep yourself)

@Teedub. Not anymore. If you look at my post the scores to get into LSA vs engineering are now virtually identical as of the last cycle.

But it is pretty easy doing a cross campus transfer when needed.
