chances of getting into a top 5 mba program .. major factors?

I'm a senior in H.S at the moment
it looks like I'll most likely be going to CUNY baruch for my undergrad,
planning to study business

so its come to my attention that some of the more major factors that a graduate school is believed to consider are GPA, GMAT scores and work experience..

but I worry that because CUNYs are not exactly brand name schools that this will seriously damage my chances of getting into a top 5 MBA program after i'm finished with my undergrad

I also applied to fordham university, I'm not really sure how that compares to baruch although several major websites such as businessweek have it ranked higher.. so i'm having trouble deciding which school will give me a better shot at a good MBA program, but I also have to consider where I'll get more work experience and a better learning experience, not an easy decision at all :(

so I guess my question is, how much does the name of your undergrad school really affect your chances of getting into a great MBA program? could a kickass GPA and test scores make up for it?

You should not be thinking about an MBA program right now. And an MBA program should not in itself be an end goal without other things taken care of first. It sounds like you want to go to college just to get a top MBA. Now that's ridiculous.

The name of your undergrad doesn't mean a whole hell of a lot.

Baruch is not the best, but sure has a good reputation for business, isn't it the top business school in CUNY?
Yeah, you shouldn't worry about MBA now, too early for that.
