Hey guys, I was just wondering what my chances of getting into a few schools are. I just applied to Boston university, Lafayette college, and Binghamton university. I'm not too confident on my chances of getting in so I'm curious what you guys think. My gpa is a 3.8 weighted and around a 3.3 unweighted. My grades got significantly stronger after freshman year and as high school went on. I consistently took a mix of ap and honors courses throughout highschool... My sat score is a 1790 with a 510 on cr 590 on w and 690 on math. I know the reading and writing are pretty pathetic, but will colleges hold these grades less against me because I plan on going into engineering?...... Extracurricular activities wise, I'm pretty average. I have around 200 hrs of community service comprised of volunteering at a local summer camp, helping at an animal shelter, and helping at a baseball camp. I'm in 2 clubs and have played baseball throughout high school. This obviously isn't everything on my application but it should give you a good idea..... Also, if anyone has any ideas for smaller engineering schools on the east coast, I would be open to new ideas... Thanks!

IMO all 3 are big reaches. I know one person who got into Binghamton engineering with a 700M, 550CR, but I thought that was crazy. Your GPA falls in the 25th percentile for Bing; also on the very low end for BU and Lafayette, but definitely look into some safety schools! Good luck, wherever you apply.

Yeah I thought so. I have a lot of safeties I just wanted to find out about those specific schools. But thank you!

Bump…

No chance at Lafayette, close call at Bing same with BU probs get into BU doee

Bump…

i say apply ED to your top choice of the 3(in my opinion, its binghamton) and i think you will get in.

Binghamton is a reach for you.

Well I already applied to all my schools regular decision… Does Binghamton have a good engineering program?

Hmm alright what do you think about boston university?
