Chances of getting into Clemson Nursing

GPA-95.86
ACT- 30
Residency- out of state (NY)

2 varsity sports, volunteer at hospital and a lot of other volunteer work.
I’m also in Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society.

So far, I have heard back from Penn State (accepted) and Scranton (accepted and scholarship).

There are also 40 kids from my school applying to Clemson. 2 others for nursing who may have better grades than me.

Do you think I will get in?

@kboc33 I believe Clemson only accepts around 180 nursing students and get over 2,000 apllicants for the nursing program. You can call to double check those numbers, but I am pretty certain that is correct. Would you consider going for your second choice major if you do not get directly in?

@kboc33 my D20 was accepted with similar stats, 1380 SAT, 3.8 UW, 4.1 W GPA. 2 sport athlete (captain of swim team), many ECs, and we believe very good essay demonstrating strong interest in Nursing. White girl from IL, so not sure how her demographics stack up. So, stay positive as you probably saw from other posts majority of Clemson admissions come in February time frame. Good luck!

For 2019, acceptance rate in nursing for OOS was 32%. Average ACT for OOS enrolled in nursing was 30.4.

Also Clemson doesn’t really care about ECs, work, etc. Grades, rigor of classes, class rank and test scores are what matters.
