@Engineer207

Wow, I think you have great stats!!! Have you considered taking the ACT? I have heard if you are stronger in math the ACT can be the better test to take. Just a thought…

Since Lehigh has so many strong applicants I think it is hard for anyone to know what your “chances” are. But, in my opinion, you would be a very strong candidate!!!

Demonstrated interest is viewed as an important part of the application at Lehigh. Are you planning to visit this summer? Make sure you sign in with the admissions office when your there!

Does your school offer AP or honor classes? I think Lehigh likes students challenging themselves by taking the hardest classes that are available to them. My opinion is taking challenging classes is more important than playing it safe and taking easy classes and getting straight a 4.0. What classes have you taken and what are you planning to take next year?

Best of luck to you!!!

I’m in all honors classes right now. Next year I plan to take the only two AP classes my school offers and honors for the rest of my classes. I’ll be pretty much be taking the most rigorous math and science related schedule available at my school next year

Great! Lehigh will know what your school offers and will not penalize you that your school does not offer more AP classes. Here is the link that will show you all the classes first year engineering students take.

I would highly recommend you take calculus, physics and chemistry in high school to prepare for that first year. Lehigh has a writing lab to help you with your freshman english class. And they have great tutoring sessions available for all those first year classes. Be sure to take advantage of the help if you start to feel like you need it!!!

It is very impressive that you are starting to plan now!

Yeah I’ll be taking AP calc, physics, and organic chem next year. I’ve heard tons of current college students who went through my school say that the Chem teacher I have right now prepared them extremely well for college. English is kind of weak point for me so that writing lab would be awesome to have if I got accepted and got enough scholarship money to come here. Even better if I could AP out of English entirely lol
